In a word...... "rubbish."

Downloaded the app, and registered. On day one all I could do was send maps from my mobile to the cars sat nav. Handy! I could also lock/unlock the car. However, suddenly the locking function stopped working and an error message popped up on my mobile requesting me to look up their online FAQ. I duly did this only to be asked to ring customer care. I did that also, but they didn't have a clue about it all.

Would be nice to hear the views of other users. I can't see the logic in BMW releasing a product which isn't 99% reliable and professional. If you read the comments on the applications download page on iTunes you'll see that the whole BMW range seems to have issues with the concept. If it can't be trusted to work, isn't it pointless?
 
I've seen the same on mine but I've figured out why it does this. I think!?!

Namely the cars systems power down after a set time (20/30 mins I think).

So you essentially have that time to lock or unlock your car. Handy if you've just Locked your keys in by accident. Not so handy if you don't realise until you come back to your car hours later then try it.

That seems to be what I find anyhow.
