My Black "Z" Project Thread...

Love the mods. Car is looking great. :thumbsup: carbon dash looks the biz. On my list to do as the original trim has a few chips and scratches.
 
Thanks, I've recently re wrapped it, using the 3M carbon, it's loads better I would recommend it over the cheaper stuff.

Finally got a couple of pics of the angel eyes fitted. I used the CCFL ones for now as I couldn't source the LED ones. I love the AE look. Only problem I've got now is the passenger side auto level has stopped working, so I've got to look into that when I get chance.

I also ordered and fitted a ZHP this week, £47.99 delivered, eBay, cotswold BMW.
Doesn't quite make a dramatic change but does improve the gear changes slightly and feels so much nicer in the hand, and of course looks loads better.

where did you get the angel eyes from.

do these come on with the side lights? its possibly the only reason i would consider cutting open my xennons

Saphire with red m sport seats, same combo as me, winners spec! Youve done exactly the same mods as me althoughI'm leaving the front tango, quite like it. The rear lights need changing on mine the same as yours though!

Lookin good! I did almost keep the tango, black seems the best to get away with it, just wanted it to look a bit younger.

Had a busy weekend, one of my ccfl rings I installed not so long back died, was a very cheap set, so I bought some LED angel eyes from superbrightleds.com I reopened my lights for the third and hopefully final time and installed them.

Did some extra work and added a couple of relays and used a switched live and interior light live as trigger wires for them. So that now my Angel eyes activate when I unlock the car and also when the ignition is on. I also added a dash switch to the ignition trigger should I decide I need to deactivate the DRL function.

Whilst I was in the area I ran the wiring in for the cruise control, just need the stalk now.

And on a final note, again whilst in that area I removed the foam from the cabin end of the sound generator. Although I think it's caused a fault as now my fuel light is on :evil: love the sound :)

Great stuff.

I'm sure many would appreciate a really detailed how-to on the relay wiring. The other post on this topic was a bit lacking in solid info.

As soon as I get chance I will do so, was busy getting it done so forgot to take pics during, most of it is fairly accessible so ill take some and do a how to when I get a spare hour.
