My 7th Z Thread

Well, I wasn’t 100% happy with the bonnet after seeing the car out in daylight today, so put another couple of hours work in tonight.

Went back to my tried and tested ‘Meguiar’s 101’ on a yellow cutting pad, and then the EX 04 06 on a finishing pad. I expect this will be lost in the photo’s, but much happier with the finish now greatly increased clarity.

great work on the detail.. its looking awesome

Thank you, it is coming up very nicely… but black is hard work and I’m aching this morning. Going to get my mini-polisher out later today and do the bumpers, mirrors, windscreen surrounds and door shuts and then the correction is finished

All finished, bar the mirrors and windscreen surround, I also need to treat the tires, clean the hood and polish up the headlights, but too tired to do any more today

Thank you, yes it’s come up very nicely… just a few finishing touches required

Black is hard work

What leather polish / cleaner have you used for your seats? I have the same ones and looking to clean mine up as well. Cheers.

Dr Leather - leather cleaner, and, Gtechniq L1 leather Guard.

The leather Guard dries to a natural Matt finish, good stuff

Thank you for your prompt reply! I appreciate it. Ill grab some and try it out. Thanks again.
Did you just use a microfiber cloth to clean it with?

I used a medium/soft detailing brush to work in the cleaner, and damp microfibre cloths to lift out/soak up the grime.

I used microfibre to apply the Gtechniq.

To be honest any decent APC will work if diluted correctly, but the Dr leather did a good job
