step_change said:I'd like to find a way to put carbon fibre effect tips on the exhausts. The stock ones look shite. But it is a cutting job on the exhaust to do and I am not sure I want to do that. Not sure Machine Monkey does ones for the 35is that slip over and tighten from underneath.
gusTaco said:Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread but there were a few questions about the Fizzmo LED's.
I've purchased the 160w (75 quid) - one of them was faulty which I'm on the process of returning.
I can't say I'm very pleased with the results I'm afraid. The second halo ring barely lights up, though it looks ok with the Xenons on.

Tell me exactly what wheels (size as well) and tyres you have please. Frort and rear.
19" Fox Motorsport MS007 in Carbon Grey. Tyres are Continental 295/35/19 and 275/30/19 - wide wheels and tyres, but sit perfect and lots of grip, needed for the 35is.
Hope to get a photo next to yours at a meet.

BTW - Did you have any issues changing the H8 Led?
I've ordered the same as yours (Fizzmo H8) - but I cannot seem to get them to twist to lock position.
No trouble, I had Fizzmo bulbs on my E92, so learnt on that. It does help if you have slim skinny long fingers. Took me a few mins per side.

Marky264 said:Absolutely love the carbon treatment. I had sourced a Splitter but it was Matte Black not Carbon. However fraction of price at £120 however I’d need to fit it myself which I’m not overly keen of doing!
Question for you when they fitted it did they drill holes into the bumper or the chassis of the car?
Also the side skirts do you they do a package where you can have all of it done? Cheers!

I’ve seen the carbon tips , I like them, but are you saying they can’t just be fitted over the existing tips?step_change said:I'd like to find a way to put carbon fibre effect tips on the exhausts. Did they upgrade you to another model? Can you confirm which ones they are, I'd like to get the same now.

Yes, that is what I am saying. The stock factory exhaust pipe tips have to be hacksawed off and replacements reattached - at least that's what I have managed to gather from researching this. A right faff.... I wish there was a Carbon Fibre option that could be screwed over the existing (stock) tips. I am all ears if someone knows a way to do this.
There seem to be carbon slip over tips available in various diameters, but can’t see any screw on them to hold them in place like mm tips have.Phoenixboy said:step_change said:Phoenixboy said:I’ve seen the carbon tips , I like them, but are you saying they can’t just be fitted over the existing tips?

Yeh, that’s what I was hoping for, thought the carbon tips just slid over the standard tips, with some sort of screw to hold them in place.
Indeed, but I cannot find any such CF tips that are place over and bolt on for the 35is. If anyone finds them then please share. would make a massive difference I think to the rear fo the car.Phoenixboy said:step_change said:Phoenixboy said:I’ve seen the carbon tips , I like them, but are you saying they can’t just be fitted over the existing tips?

They appear to just slide over the tips.
Not sure of size for 30i, would have to measure, but then unless they were an incredibly good fit, not sure they would stay on, unless you drilled a small hole in the underside of the tips and put a screw in to hold tip in place?
