Hi guys,

Purchased my Z4 a week ago! Loving the torque, flexibility and sound (foam removed ;) ) from the big 6!

After a good while cleaning her yesterday she looks pretty beady this morning, shame about the drizzly snaps! You just can't appreciate how nice Maldives blue is until you see it on a sunny day

Also, if anyone else out there is suffering from foggy headlamps on their zed here is how I fixed mine for next to nothing! Don't go buying some expensive headlamp cleaning kit, just use your regular polish for the bodywork, 2 mins of elbow grease and they'll be as good as new!

Hi and welcome nice colour looks good with the roof, was the sound gen hard to sort out and does it make a difference enjoy

thanks guys, I'm not too fussed on the aerial.. (controversial I know!!)

Sound gen took me all of 2 minutes, I just pulled it from the bulkhead, whipped out the foam and placed it back in.. it makes a huge difference! but the result will not be to everyone's taste.. personally I love it

Thanks for the kind comments, regarding the headlamps - I simply used an Autoglym polish, the same as you'd use on any body panels - the slight cutting effect of the polish will work wonders on your lamps, it took me less than a couple of minutes each side to go from having nasty tired and dull looking front lights to ones that could pass as new!

Welcome to the forum - first Maldives I have seen with a hardtop, looks great

Thought I'd update this - no massive changes really, aside from routine maintenance I've only had to replace a pipe at the intake. Wheels are 8/9J 19" CSL reps with Falken rubber. The pic of the car covered in snow was taken AFTER I had driven the 8 or so miles to work, for sure the hairiest drive of my life!

Those 19" wheels certainly do a good job of closing the wheel arch gap compared to the first pic.

Looks really nice another Maldives blue fan here I think it's a great colour not that I am biased or anything

Be careful using normal polish on headlights, especially tcut can often makes them worse. Especially if you use a machine polisher.
