out of curiosity, would an auto gearbox be an issue?

I bought this kit one month old. It was mounted to a E91. He had a auto gearbox on this car and he didn`t like the shifts with the supercharger. That is why he sold it to me :D

ok that's interesting

Finally an update on this car :)

I have sold my other prosject car, the F10 550ix. So now I finally got time for the Z again :driving:
The supercharger conversion will be done in July. This is because it's easier when the car get another year older 6th of Juli. Hard to explaine, but it saves me taxes here in Norway.

Since I have sold the 550, I now have a lot of cash to spend on the Z  Ok, a little cash then :P

So I have bought me some new part last two weeks, heres the list:
-Z4M front bumper
-Z4M rear bumper
-Z4M hood
-Z4M front swaybar (hope it fits)
-Z4M lower control arms
-H&R rear swaybar
-Z4M grille painted gloss black
-Schmiedmann exhaust muffler
-Eisenmann sound rohr
-Aero sideskirts
-Bmw Performance front calipers
-M3 CSL front rotors
-Drilled rotors in rear

I will also do the quaife conversion later.

Now I just need some spare time, so I can install a little under and over. Looking forward to working on the Z again :D

This car will be awesome when it's finished - it's always a pleasure to read your mod threads bmwZ

It fits, just as the e46 m3 swaybar (z4m=27mm, m3=26mm)
Are you're going to fit poly bushings?

If you have coilover you may need slightly shorter droplinks.
You can check it when both the wheels are in full droop (so on the ramp, wheels hanging down), and one side is detached, the other (detached) side must not come in contact with the lower suspension arm. (so the swaybar or the bottom pivot point from the drop link may not touch the control arm).

Thanks, good to know :D Yes, I have bought poly bushings for the Z4M Sway bar.

I don`t have coilovers. I had KW V3 on my last E85, and was not impressed with the ride quality. So now I just have yellow koni and H&R springs. Much better setup :D

-Bmw Performance front calipers

Which calipers are these orignally from? Would be interesting to see some pics of the parts

They are from 1 series and E9x cars. I have bought a adapter, so that they fit my Z :D I don`t know if I will keep the oem colour Phoenix on them. Having plans of painting them in the New Ferrari colour on the 488 GTB. Rosso Corsa Mettalizato, it is a bright red metallic :P

I just got the Sway bars, nothing to post Pictures of yet :|

I`m also thinking of going for a full respray of the Z. Not that the old one is bad, but when I now have bought new bumpers, hood and sideskirts, I painting 1/3 of the car, so why not go for the rest and change colour. What does the forum members think of Invidual frozen silver?

Are they these parts?

http://www.individual-cars.com/xshop/product_info.php/info/p282_BMW-PERFORMANCE-BRAKE-for-all-3series-E46-and-Z4-E85---E86.html

I've just ordered these, they look like the same caliper as fitted to the 135i coupe but in a different colour and logo.

I have a set of those on my car, and also made the rear calipers fit.

Front:

Rear:

Rear was a lot of work to make fit.
The front was a plug&play kit (ecs tuning), for the rear getting a larger diameter disc fit with parking brake&all is difficult.
But it works like a charm now.

Yes, that is the kit. They are the same as 135i as you say. Brembo that manufacture them :D

I have this kit on my car for about 3 years now.

For the rears I used a X3 disc (modified on a lathe), and various adapted parking brake parts from 1 series, 3 series and 5 series
And some home made parts to get the rear calipers on the right offset.
So on the rear it requires a lot of tinkering. (took me about 2 weeks every evening for the rears.... 2 hours for the fronts  )

I need to sort some rears out for mine, I'm hoping its an easier fit on my car being that I have larger discs than GuidoK had fitting them to his. Looking forward to getting the fronts in the meantime

Some updates again :D
I have decided to respray the car in a different colour, allready started to strip down the Z :D But having a hard time to decide colour. It has to match the red interior. So can anybody help with som colour suggestions?
