Any opinions guys? Booked wheels in this coming week for a refurb but unsure on colour, I was thinking anything dark would look a bit crap against a black car, but the main choices seem to be an OEM silver or something like shadow chrome?

Any suggestions or inputs to make?

I voted for shadow chrome. Two reasons why, 1) I've never seen MV3s in that finish and 2) they should really stand out on your black Zed.
Alternatively, why not go gloss black and go for the full Stealth/Darth Vader look with your Zed. Not to everyones taste but I think a well done all black everything car looks amazing !
I've got gloss black MV3s on my Zed and think they work well with the Sterling Grey paintwork. :D

I voted Shadow Chrome as well - I'm not a fan of black on black, but it's your car OP!

I voted oem silver. For me shadow chrome is neither here nor there on a black car in particularly. It just looks like you've got dull/dirty wheels on to me. It's either the black stealth look or oem on black for me.

I think this is the way I'm leaning. I do love the shadow chrome colour but it probably will be too dark for my tastes on a black car.

May investigate something along the lines of hyper silver mind you, seems to have a lovely depth to it. I know my local place have advised it's about £10 extra a wheel as it involves a mix of powder coating and wet painting so I shall consider

Id go shadow or bright silver. I went bright silver on my grey roadster and they look fantastic in the sun, but shadow chrome would look just as good

Well, to disappoint you all I stuck with OEM silver.

The wheels were well corroded with 2 of them flaking lacquer, so the difference between before and after in my eyes is immense.

Photos at the weekend when the rest of the car is as clean!

Who did you use in the end. I'm looking for someone in around Manchester that doesn't charge the earth.

Place called Smart Wheels, off Rochdale Road. £220 same day service, drop the car off in the morning and done by 6pm. I don't have a spare set of wheels and need the car daily so it was the best option for me, especially as it's on my commute route too.

Have I missed your pics. Im in the same position, getting my wheels refurbed shortly. I have a Ruby Black Z, favouring the Shadow Chrome, but could be swung to Hyper Silver, so appreciate seing your finished result.

None posted yet, alas I forgot to take photos and my car is filthy thanks to the recent rain and conditions at work. Having an office next to a construction yard is not ideal!
