Im sharing my recent audio upgrade on my E86.
When i bought my e86 just over a year ago, the audio was not sounding great, i found an audio installer local (NE Scotland) It was then discovered at some point in life my car had an Jehnert Door card Sound upgrade.

This was not connected or working, it was then presumed the previous owner had upgraded the oem amplifier in order to power these additional speakers i then thought wrongly it was simply the case to buy an additional amplifier to power the additional speakers and they would all work, this was then a long journey of failure! The local audio installer and neither did i at this point understand the complex Z4 setup of DSP amp.
After 10 billable hours, new amplifier, cabling etc cost it ended now further forward and in worse state than i had started! After this botch install i then had unknown battery drain which took months to get to the bottom of! all thats a different story! but a result of this original installer.

I came across DSP replacement amplifiers on an ebay shop https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/allwoodsaudio who specialise in OEM replacement audio on enquiring about a Match 7 DSP amplifier, I was asked to provide my VIN and through discussions also with the additional Jehnert system i had this amp wasnt right for my setup. The communication was excellent and i had immediate confidence we was going in the right direction to resolve all, He came back with a plan after reviewing the job at hand and advised i would need a 12 channel amp which turned out to be the Musway M12 https://musway.de/english/m12-dsp-amplifier.html
They are located in Newcastle and i was sceptical of my 10 hr round trip for installing and overall cost involved but after many message exchanges i was so confident that he was the right man for the job i went for it and arranged a date and done the drive down.
He was met with a huge headache of the already complex setup in my car (Top Hifi Lear Amp) but the additional Jehnert setup was all incorrectly wired and the mess the previous local installer i got so it took several hours to figure all this out (it was really a mess wiring) but he got there and rewired the addional setup. Made a custom loom\brace and got my sound system going.

I now have 16 speakers + subwoofer going and the end result is just amazing, mind blowing!! The clarity of the whole setup is just an amazing sound.
The Musway M12 is really top drawer, in addition it has fully customised tuning app that functions great, he tuned it all for me and result amazing !
My setup was more complicated than standard as i had the additional Jehert system and it was all wired wrongly from previous owner removing his setup and then just putting it back so there was some kind of sound working to then local installer that really made a mess of things but if you have any audio upgrade needs contact the guys at All wood on the ebay shop link they really are super helpful and nice and very knowledgeable !!
