Musical Tastes Changing?

I seem to have come over all Folk-ish music in my more recent purchases. Mumford & Sons, Lucy Rose and Two Door Cinema Club. Elbow and The XX also a bit "safe"

Anyone else noticed their tastes changing? Any new interesting purchases recently? (I'm always on the lookout for interesting music)

I tend to be a bit musically similar to Herr Truman & JVE89. Rather eclectic and what ever suits my mood at the moment. I mostly lean towards Prog rock such as, IQ, Porcupine tree, Marillion. Rammstein style hard rock. goth rock like Lacuna coil. Trance and club dance is good to. 80's British new wave is great. Blues, jazz. About the only thing I don't care for are modern country or gangster rap.

I once was a DJ at an engineering schools radio station. A massive 10 watts of FM stereo power. I had a Saturday night rock show and a Sunday jazz show. We had one rule. If a song was on the pop charts in the dust bin it went. Pop charts are preordained by old farts in black suits and red ties. To date my self. We opened the mail one day to find a few promo "albums and 45 sized singles" Among them was a never before heard of artist named Madonna. The promo was Material girl. ldman: 1983 or so

I have two Seasick Steve albums too. Try some John Lee Hooker if you like Seasick Steve

I too like all sorts, except country & western and Gangsta rap. My fave band of recent years is Greenday, and I play it very loud in my Z at every opportunity. I guess I'm just a bit of an old rocker really.

Weird thing is. I tend to not listen to any music when in the Zed. I have a zippy sounding back box and that makes all the music I need. I do however always have the iPod running through the idrive system on the wife's 328.
