Music via Built In Blue Tooth

Just been reading another Blue Tooth thread, got me thinking.

Should I be able to play music from my Phone via Blue Tooth on the Z's standard fit audio?

I use the Blue Tooth link for normal calls and it works great, but I've never found a way to play tracks off my phone. So I just listen to my old CD collection. Not a big problem, however if the standard set up can play tracks from my phone that would be an extra treat.

The phone is a Motorola V9 if that makes a difference.

Nah it's a pretty old bluetooth system design so unfortunately it only supports call functionality.

Even if it was possible it would restrict your music library to what you could store on your phone. Aux cable and iPod or equivalent would be a better bet IMO

Cheers, I though that was it. Thought I would ask, just in case I was missing some thing.

As mangozac said it is the Bluetooth level in the Z4
To transfer stereo you need the transmitter and the receiver to be A2DP 2.1 Whilst most smart phones are ,the Z4 (E85/6 )is not
but you can buy a tiny receiver which plugs into the AUX and play music over the Head unit from say an iPhone
