After several hours of contortions and countless tools, I was able to visualize the first three PK digits on the inverted, hidden, Bluetooth label behind the rear speaker behind the driver's seat. Through trial and error, I was able to determine the last, or fourth PK binding digit and bind my iPhone 12's Bluetooth feature to my newly acquired 2008 3.0is Z4 car's radio system (phew!).
Good news - hands free phone calls plus name/number directory now come through the car's Bluetooth-to-radio system flawlessly.
Bad news - neither my iPhone's iTunes nor my Pandora songs play songs through the new Bluetooth-to-radio system - just through the phone. Is there a setting on either the radio or the iPhone that will allow my iPhone's music apps to play wirelessly via the same Bluetooth connection over the car's radio/audio system? Or do I have to install yet a second Bluetooth gizmo behind the radio /CD player to play my iPhone's music apps wirelessly over the car's radio system? If so, which one do you recommend (preferably from Amazon)?
Finally - how and where do you mount your iPhone to see your GPS / Waze / Google navigation screen? In a YouTube video, I saw one guy attach his iPhone to the dashboard - apparently with a magnet? Thanks in advance for your help....
