Music streaming options with business stereo

My daughters new to her 2009 doesn’t have idrive so only has the business stereo.

What’s here best options for streaming music and keeping her steering wheel controls. Apple phone if it matters.

Does she have the combined USB/AUX socket in the centre console? If it does then she could use this....

It retains all steering wheel controls and, as its for an iPhone then it'll display the track info on the screen. It acts like an ipod. Alas I don't have a photo of it with the iPhone version track info as I've got Android and that only displays forward and back.

Question about this....

If its connected to the phone playing music via Bluetooth can the phone still be connected to the car for calls? 2 Bluetooth devices at once?

The volume controls on the steering wheel work, but not the skip track.
It also doesn't display the track info on the radio
*(reading reviews it seems to retain all functions on some cars)

TBH it's not something I bother about personally as I mainly play Spotify playlists on shuffle anyway
I'm using an iPhone connected to it and can still make/receive calls as before
