Murdered out 203's

I'm sure I'm not the only one to do this, but I wasn't sure that i would like black wheels on my zed. Instead of spending a ton on some wheels that I might not like, I refurbed my curb-rashed 203s. A nice scuff with the power sander followed by several coats of dark grey primer, industrial gloss black, and a protective clear really put some new life into my wheels. Depending on how long the paint holds up, I may have this done professionally by a shop. Comments welcome. :D

I don't generally like black wheels, but I think they look good with the colour of your car

Don't mind black wheels on non-black cars, but I prefer a polished rim...

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. If I buy some new rims in the future, black chrome or anthracite will be the color. I just wanted a cheap test version of some dark rims to see if I liked the look. I did the black rims with a polished lip on a PT Cruiser GT some years ago. It wasn't the look I wanted for the Z. This is also an experiment to see how long the paint lasts. I did the same treatment on a front grill for my old truck and it held up really well. I'll take some better daytime shots later tonight.
