Multiple airbag fault codes

Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
Was tinkering around with Carly today and there seem to be even more airbag fault codes than the last time i did a diagnostic run.

Does this look like the airbag module is knackered / needs replacing?

I've cleared the faults a couple of times now but get a clicking noise from the fusebox on the subsequent ignition start-up and the codes return.

Looks something along the lines of what I encountered recently in this thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=93662
The codes for the door satellite modules for example look very dubious because we don't have then fitted. They are only for the US market with their 2 stage airbags over there. So again the code for airbag stage 2 looks wrong. Unless your getting a warning light etc I would just put it down to a glitch in the software somewhere, whether it's the Carly stuff or the SIM module itself I'm not sure.

got the dash warning light so there's obviously something amiss. MOT's due next August so plenty of time to root out the problem. Got a feeling it's gonna be like looking for a needle in a haystack however....

In that case the first port of call for me would be the passenger seat mat looking at that code list. I would do the bypass (cheap as chips and quick and easy) then clear all the codes and see what comes back. Hopefully that's the only real issue you have in the codes listed as we also don't have the knee airbags this side of the pond. The satellites in the door I have already mentioned, but don't confuse them with the door airbags themselves, they are separate items. Once the seat is bypassed if the light is still on one of your seat buckle/tensioners looks like its thrown a code.

You have not had a low/flat battery by any chance? Since you have had the Carly have you ever cleared the codes in the SIM module, some could be older codes if you haven't

Yeah just read ur post re door satellites- false positive.
I replaced the battery with a new one a while back and still get these codes.
I'll try ur suggestion of seat bypass and see what happens.....
Cheers

Might not help but if you get a severe case of water penetration on the passenger side, I understand that it can cause problems for the airbag module which is bolted to the frame behind the seat. Might be worth pushing your hand under the carpet behind the seat to see if it is wet.l
