Multifunction steering wheel

Looking for a bIt of advice.... just bought one of the thick rimmed alcantara M sport steering wheels (P/N 32306761826) together with a replacement airbag, as a result of an badge related incident that it is best not to ask about!!

Anyway, before fitting it all, I started thinking about whether or not I could convert this wheel to multifunction using the retrofit kit (P/N 65710304942)? Has anyone done this, or can anyone tell me for definite whether it is possible... don't want to order the parts to discover it's a no-go!

Couldn't confirm the part numbers but I bought an alcantara steering wheel off eBay, and then retrofitted the multifunction controls. Looks great and works fine. The multifunction controls are the same shape as the plastic they replaced, so are a perfect fit.

The only issue I had was fitting the plastic towards the bottom of the steering wheel, which required some work with a dremmel, but this I think is a general issue with the M wheel when fitting to an E85 irrespective of multifunction controls.
