Hi guys
Just spent a teeth gnashing 21/2 hour session fitting my retrofit mfsw and on fitting all the relevant parts, thats after 1st having to discover how precisely my Z came apart to facilitate the fitting! After finishing all the fitting I was totally underwhelmed to discover that it didn't function!Aaaaarrggghhh ! I strategically ignored the fitting instruction end point which mentions "encoding using DISPlus or GT1 via path retrofit/CIP" Does anyone know if this is something I need to do or how to do it? I'm fairly confident that all the connections are good.
Your help would be very much appreciated
Cheers :(

No coding required when I did mine (2006 facelift) check & double check your connections, did you establish if your car needed the retrofit 2 wire loom?, there's an excellent thread on how to fit an MFSW on here, I'll dig it out in mo.

Pretty sure no ones ever needed to get it coded for an MFSW.

I was refrencing between the genuine instructions and this excellent post, looks like I'll just need to re check my connections, one positive is I'll be able to dismantle everything toot suit now I know how it all comes apart......yay!

Hi again Tony
managed to revisit wiring and found one of the skotchlok connectors had come adrift on re fitting ! D'oh, all now functioning and only took 40 minutes start to finish 8) :D
cheers
