Multi changer ( no audio )

After some advice guys, recently bought a 3.0 roadster 2005 with business CD and multi changer.

The radio / single CD player work as they are supposed too. I load up the multi changer, the system checks every CD comes up with no error messages, it plays the cd's and will skip to next track or next CD as expected BUT I'm getting no audio. No this has been mentioned here before and on other BMW forums but nobody has come online and posted any solutions.

Advice please......

No parrot installed but it does have factory Bluetooth that is working fine ( yes the software is slow as its old tech but it's working fine )

Hi Paddy. That's what I thought but I've asked the previous owner and they had no knowledge of this.

What's the way to check ? Is it to pull the head unit out and look at the wiring at the back of the unit ? If so what am I looking for? Seems odd that the nav screen is recognising the track but no audio.

Or do I need to check wiring at the back of the cd changer?

Interested in this as I have exactly the same situation in my car. I also have an after market Parrot fitted but cant see why the previous owner would be happy losing the CD changer in exchange for hands free.

Right I've had the stereo out. I've fitted the Aux lead from Fruity Cables and that works perfect.

The connections to the CD multi changer do look like they have been played around with in the past but connections look good. As I said previously the multi changer loads CD's checks them individually on entering the CD cassette unit. It plays them ( at least the head unit thinks it's playing them ) but still no audio.

I'm guessing I'm gonna have to visit an audio specialist. At least I can play the iPod now.
