It's true in most cases, that if you take a decent sized screw driver or some other object that can be used and use the handle to knock the front of the cassette ( fairly hard ) repeatedly whilst pressing the eject button, they normally come out without having to remove the unit ( long job ) . The problem is normally a dry and slightly sticky cassette mechanism . If after removal you, liberally apply a silicone spray to all the parts of the cassette and polish up ( some people even use MR Sheen with good effect ) till dry several time and then reassemble, it should work fine .
