I bought a set when I ordered the Zed and got the dealer to fit them for free at the pdi. I remember they were crazy expensive for some reason compared too other OEM flaps, never knew why.

I think they looked ok but always amazed at peoples over the top reaction towards fitting flaps as to me they perform a useful function but will rave over a plastic spoiler thats useless

I've fitted just the fronts on my M135i as the Michelins having a sticky compound flick stones up all the time :x

It's spectacles you need fitted, not mudflaps John. :)

Turned 45 and my eyes went south side Jimbo!

Put the iPad on and zoomed in, you can just make them out can't you, don't look too bad tbh, and surely will save the side skirts a bit from the rash.

I'd take some stone chips over those things any day. I suppose the next owner will have a nice looking chip free car when he pulls the mudflaps off.

Reminds me of all those people paying a huge premium for an iPhone just because it looks nice then putting some ugly phone condom over the thing.

Horses for courses.

Well they arrived pdq.
Placed them on, don't look too bad.
Took a few pics to convince myself they look good.
This last Winter the roads my way to work are pretty rough.

See I'm the opposite, damage to the paintwork thgrough chipping road rash etc just makes the car look shabby over time, but thats me, just like to keep the car as perfect as possible during ownership. Keeps me happy :D

I remember my dad buying a set of mud flaps for my Mini, even though I had said no. He fitted them whilst I was at school and on my return home they were promptly removed. Vile looking things!

I always think scoobies, Evos etc look good with proper mud flaps, you know the ones that flex, not these solid things. Sometimes you can hear the scraping of the lower flaps at the front of the wheels, that bad enough, these things catching could cause serious damage to your rear bumper of caught and dragged.

Not for me, clearly but hey if people like them and want to fit them then carry on. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that......sometimes the beholder is Stevie Wonder :fuelfire:

How times have changed.
The rich kids at school now have Audis given to them.
One 17 year old boy in the school I work in has a brand new RS6

Whenever you're thinking of selling your current car give me a heads-up :D

I think people are missing the whole point of them and worry more on spoiling the looks. Once fitted they're hardly noticeable yet go along way at minimising damage to sills and floor pan which is enough for me. I think people hark too much comparing modern mudflaps looking like the rally flaps fitted 30 years ago

And I wasn't given mines. I had to buy it with my own money

To be fair a chilli red Mini Cooper S in 2002 was the car to have.
