Actually they don't look bad and if they protect against stone chips....

Stone chips are the main reason I got them, we have a lot of gravel left on the roads after winter and it really chews up the paint.

Oops - I'm for rip 'em off. They do nothing for the lines of the car, however I fully understand the reason you'd want them in your region and on a white car.

They don't look half as bad as I expected... My main gripe would be that they hide the rear wheels from sight, but given the road conditions where you live I'd probably install them as well. Let's call them 'sensible shoes' instead of willies :P

rip them off. but into a large bin. spray them with fuel and set them on fire. i love em !

only kidding, never been a fan of mudflaps ?. i just dont get it.

They seem OK to me but I would like to see some colour coordinated ones fitted on a car. I also understand that there are stainless steel ones available. Prices of the flaps seem to vary a lot as well.

Actually I have thought about the fronts only as already the section of the side skirt in front of the rear wheels is feeling a bit pot marked by stones from the front wheel! Probably wouldn't really notice them on a black car.

Not sure though. Never been a fan of mudflaps on anything other than vans a 4x4's!

I thought about doing the fronts only, mostly 'coz I wouldnt have to pull the wheels off.

I doubt if anyone would notice them at all on a black car. I don't notice mine, especially when I'm in the car, driving.

I had them in the SLK and they are quite unobtrusive, I may consider them for the Z as the wheels tyre combo will kick up a fair bit of grit etc, and in Scotland we have shedloads of that stuff :x

I'd take em off, then put on that transparrent plastic stuff desined to protect paint work.

They look 'ok' but don't do it any favours... I understand the roads are ropey in lots of Canada, but you haven't gone and got a bonnet bra yet, and surely that is one place it'll get hit more by stone chips etc?

I had the 3M protective coverings installed before I picked it up so no Bra. She wants to be "Free" and wave them ...sorry I digress.. :D

I've had Nose covers (Bras) on other cars and they do stop chips but they scuff the paint from the rubbing and it's impossible to keep them tight enough .

i ve ordered some bmw mudflaps cause i seen a black coupe at the start off the week and i think they look pretty good but i ve always been a fan of flaps :D

I did look into the price of mudflaps but was put off purely by cost, silly perhaps as i agree, the panels behind the front wheels do take a hammering from grit etc. I am still thinking of putting them on and will probably regret having hesitated. I think they look fine.

It's probably just me. I think mud flaps should be banned on all sports cars/models. :D They completey destroy the beauty of the car.

Can't say I like them, but would like a bunch of stone chips much much less, and they are not as obtrusive as I though they would be, leave them on.
