Much covered - Wheel size/fitment

Hi, appreciate it's a much covered subject however I'm thinking of purchasing a set of alloys, this is the size fitment blurb:
Width: 8.5J
Diametre: 18"
PCD; 5/120
Offset: Et35
CB: 72.6
Finish: Hyper Black
However my concern is putting 8.5J on the front as well as the rear. Also is the offset suitable for use with out spacers etc.
All discussion/advice greatly appreciated. :thumbsup:

Should be ok, many are running 8.5 fronts here.

Much covered but suffering from information overload :headbang: regards alloys and offset are these possible or are they too borderline for the inner lip of the wing?
specs =
front = 18" x 8.0" et34 with 225/40r18
rear = 18" x 8.5" et37 with 225/40rr18

Will be fitted to a 2006 2.5 roadster, I've a sneaky feeling it's unwise but have the chance of next to new 7 month old 18 CSL replicas with brand new tyres virtually for £400 . They were on an E46 2003

Any advice, response, dissuasion, or suitable words of wisdom greatly appreciated.
Thanks Simon :thumbsup:

front = okay, but close to the limit with this tyre/wheel combo
rear = good

both are 13mm further out then standard OEM sets (108 or MV2)

Thanks Vester, OEM...?
When you say the fronts are close is that to close..? Have you tried/experienced them previously . Will it adversely affect the handling or tyre wear.

Once again thank you for taking the time to reply it's greatly appreciated. They're a cracking set at a great price I just don't want a set that is going to catch or foul on anything.!
Cheers Simon

I wouldn't worry about it tbf!

on my z4 coupe I ran CSL reps with -;

19x8.5 et38 front with 235/35/19 tyre
19x9.5 et40 rear with 255/30/19 tyre

and had 0 issues/rubbing.

you will be fine with a 8" rim with 34offset and stock tyre size - aka 225/40/18

I have 8,5" ET34 in the front with 225/35-19. Works like a charm. 235/35 did not work...

OEM = original Equipment Manufacturer.

don't worry, you will be fine.
front are close but not TOO close. as StigJ mentioned, don't try a 235 tyre as that will rub with these wheels.

i've experienced 8J 235/40//18 with an et35 and that rubbed slighly under hard cornering. 225/40/18 will be perfect

stance will be beautiful

With standard suspension you will be fine, I've got 19 x 8.5, 235 35 at the front with a 30mm drop so with 18's it should be fine.

They will be fine. I have 18" MV3s in those widths and offsets on my '03 2.5i, although my rear tyres are 255/35 R18. I don't get any rubbing front or rear at all. :thumbsup:

Have a friend who might be selling his gunmetal refurbed MV3s so this is good to know, should work against the black of the car too

I agree. Gunmetal against black will look great. Also, as the offsets are et34 front and et37 rear they fill out the arches better and greatly improve the cars look and stance. No spacers needed ! :thumbsup:
