msport vs non bumper

I want a scratch and dent repairing on my rear bumper I have had since I bought 2nd hand from BMW 4 years ago.
I know I shouldn't have been so hasty to want to take the car home, but I never noticed when I bought the car having viewed in the pouring rain 140 miles from home. Could have negotiated a fix.

So I want it repaired and the local BMW repair place is the cheapest!
But, for a little more I could have a whole bumper re-sprayed.
So time for a change, bought a slightly damaged m-sport rear and have now repaired, modified for a fake extra twin exhaust and ready to spray.

But not sure I like it :(
I think the original bumper flows better with the curves and the m-sport just change for change sake.
Photoshopped, didn't like the bottom a different colour after I saw a white m-sport Zed, looked like something was missing and potentially always look dirty if black or grey.
The curve under the tail lights follows the line along the door. The m-sport appears not to.
My only dislike of the original is that it can look a bit podgy but the extra exhaust might widen it a bit.
Was hoping the m-sport bumper would do that, but only if lower section dark.

Got to be personal taste. The M sport front bumper does look more aggressive but I'm not keen on the rear M bumper. I do think the rear end is the cars poorest aesthetically and a twin exhaust set up will help but I haven't decided what if anything would improve it further.

Is the bottom one looking better because the aspect ratio of the image is different, maybe making the car look narrower in the butt?

Fake twin exhausts? Surely that's like sticking a rolled-up sock down your pants on a night out, things look impressive but leads to embarrassing disappointment

Wouldn't waste any more time / money
Im no fan of the 89 Msport rear , for me the Se looks far more svelte & styled from the off , the Msport looks chavved up from a parts bin imo :o
Also prefer the twin pipe side outlets on 23i 30i 28i & the 35i / Is should have had 2 x twin sides , all personal pref i guess

I think the bottom one looks better but then I prefer the early E85 rear end, it just looks right IMHO :)

I take it you wouldnt be a fan of changing the paint colour of the grey section of the M sport bumper then?
I have been thinking on and off about what to do in the future and whether or not to have that grey part painted in a totally random colour like the valencia orange against the black.
I have saw one with that part painted lime green and liked it, a bit different from the norm.

Well fitted the M sport bumper today.

The jury is out on this one.
Gone for a graphite grey lower section.
To me, like someone else wrote, it looks a bit after market and out of place.

I think I will get the original bumper patched up and re fit it. But still go twin exhaust for balance.
