MSport steering wheel question

Quick Question...

I was intending to send my standard wheel away to royal to be recovered when I came across a bare MSport wheel for what seems like a good price.

Has anyone managed to swap over the switchgear from a standard wheel? (I don't have the paddles)
 
Its mine alright! :)

The MSport is thicker and the thumb rests are more pronounced. My existing wheel is glossy and looks like patent leather so needed recovering, so this should end up cheaper.
 
I spotted that while browsing eBay on Friday. It was on my watch list.

I don't think it would have been any use for me as it's missing the paddle shift slots but it's a steal for someone with a manual.

My wheel is already covered in alcantara with red/blue stitching. Looks nice and is a great improvement over the standard wheel but I think I still prefer the MSport wheel.
