Msport seats from pre lift into post

help needed

I managed to get a pair of red Msport electric heated seats off eBay for my 2007 3.0si. The eBay seller said they came out out a 2006si? But the sticker on them shows manufactured 2004, so there pre face lift.

My car has the standard se seats, can I straight swap, mines not heated not bothered about that. Can I use the bases of the se seats and convert them to use the sports seats?

If it’s a pain to do I’ll most likely just sell them on.
 
Despite being from 2004 they might have been modified for the post facelift. Pre facelift ones have a small electronics module (65776927500) under the passenger seat, connected to the occupancy detection mat. Post facelifts have a different occupancy detection mat and don’t need the module. If the seat has been modified, it may now have a post facelift sensor mat, or an ebay module that bypasses the occupancy detection.

Otherwise it should be a straight swap, the connectors are the same. And yes, the bases of standard and M-sport seats can be changed.

I have just done a swap from an 07 to an 04 car and vice versa- both passenger seats needed bypasses fitting to prevent airbag lights
 
Guys cheers, I took the plunge and tried a straight swap on the passenger side. The base frame is so bent it won’t fit, I managed to use the standard one and it’s converted and seems to be working fine. Has a occupancy sensor now?

Can you believe that someone on eBay didnt mention they’ve been in crash?? Hopefully I can save them. I’m going to do a photo thread and change the colour as well.
 
If they have been crashed before you sail off into the sunset check the seatbelt pretensioners? If they have deployed you’ll have warning lights galore and it won’t be operative in a crash?

Bent frames don’t bode well either!
 
If you fancy a challenge, it should be fairly straightforward to get the seat heating working with a change of the centre console (roof button module) and some wiring.
 
Do your best to get the heated elements to work!

I’ll never get another car which doesn’t have heated seats!

Im a diver ,,, heated seats are the greatest thing ever ,,, even better than a flask of soup .
 
Going to change colour to bmw Amarone, like a dark wine burgundy colour, I’ve got a spay kit to do it £80. Will do pictures when done.
