Just had mine done today by Paul and Richard at Trimstar..
Top job on both seats, and it's toastie now.
Quality work, these guys really know their stuff.

Why specify these seats from new and then not have them heated :headbang:

Winters comin and it will be warmer now, with the roof down

Sounds like a good idea for those of us without heated seats.
Was that supply and fit or fit only?
Did they use the standard switches?
And finally.... rough idea of cost?
Sorry for all the questions but would love to get mine done.

It was supply and fit of heater mats and switches,
They came to my house, (390mile round trip) took seats out, and worked in the garage, but they can work in their van. They used the new carbon fibre mats, and aftermarket switches (2 heat levels) fitted to the side plastics on the seats.
OK... not dash switches but a damn site cheaper than the extra of buying the console and looms...
I won't say the price on here, suffice to say it was amazingly good value, and I was quoted by lots of companies, considering especially as I would have to travel to all the others.
Phone for prices, I found it to be well worth the call...
:dance2:

Tempting it must be said! I was only thinking yesterday on my drive home in the evening with the roof down that I wish the previous owner had specified bum warmers!

I will just say that his standard charge for 'at-your-address fitting in his catchment' for 2 seats is £495+VAT but I negotiated a special discount

cheapest elsewhere was £599+VAT and some over £750+VAT. and I would have to spend on petrol to get to them
Various quotes of £1k+VAT to £2k+VAT with the OEM switches
Also mine are the the M sport seats.
Paul's number is 07971 495712..+VAT :D
Trimstar Linky
and say Pete from Telford recommended them

Found this as an alternative option at a 10th of the price and readily transferable from car to car in minutes.....

http://www.xcelcius.co.uk/ :P

And to think that as an option when buying it, it was one of the cheapest ones there!

:o I can't believe you spent that much on your seats!! Wow. :o

Think I'll just see if some pop up second hand :o :o :o

Good luck
I have seen the threads on here about swapping out seats and all the problems with airbag modules being incompatible, seat mats etc etc, I bought with MSport seats as a must,
Heating was something that could be done after with a lot less problems than trying to 'even find', and then 'fit the right seats'..
But stupid to not specify heating when new, when you particularly want these seats to begin with??? :headbang:
