MS treatment

My (very brave) wife is in having some at the moment - called Lemtrada.

Just wonder if anyone has experienced, or know anyone who has experienced this and how they got on?

Best of luck to her and you buddy, I dont have any experience with it but there is a lot of stuff online etc, there must (surely!) be an MS support forum or similar that might be a good shout, can give you an idea of what to expect.

No experience of it but my old man has MS. At the moment he is doing nothing about it except for giving himself a better lifestyle. Gave up work at 53 and moved out to Cyprus to retire. He doesn't have masses of money but then cost of living out there is cheap and he has a pool and a local pub. Since being there the reduced levels of stress and copious amounts of sunshine have done him the world of good. He has only had one episode in the past 7 years which he recovered from very quickly.

Would however be interested to hear what your wife thinks about her treatment.

Thanks for the kind words - plenty of stuff on the MS forum, which Mrs Spoon has read. It's a newish drug though (only approved 18 months ago) and obviously the MS forums are a very focused group, so feedback is very samey. Just thought I'd try on here to see if anyone had any experiences.

Fingers crossed it works for her though, otherwise it's powered wheelchair with trailer for me :)

Wow, what a story. He must have been one of the early trial people. Fingers crossed Mrs Spoon sees equally great results!!
