My, what a busy weekend. My day trip to la belle France on Saturday. Then, today, my wife ran the London Marathon. It was her first go, and at the tender age of 54. What possessed her? who knows. She ran for the Hospices charity whilst she was there anyways!
Timing was slightly dissapointing, took nearly 7 hours. Well, I mean, came back from a long session at the pub and me dinnah ain't on the table! (only joking). I actually cycled the whole route to keep her company, so sore, looks like I have the ass of a baboon!
Took a pic of her in the shower with the medal on (NOT joking, and I ain't posting it on here! it will frighten small animals and children)
My thoughts on this? Over thirty thousand people turned up to run, many for good causes. Hundreds of thousands turned out to cheer them on, put money in the buckets and volunteer for various duties. Britain isn't broken. It just shows a few bruises in exposed areas now and again. It shows there are really good people out there, and they are the majority.
Saw a couple of Zed's too. A blue one parked in Pennyfield, Limehouse and one driving round Traf' Square.
