Mrs G's Birthday Romp

Well I was meant to be in Bristol at a boring meeting on Tuesday. Then it got cancelled last minute so, as it was Mrs G's Birthday and the weather was simply fantastic, I took the day off and we wheeled out the Zed for a spontaneous mini adventure. :o

Half an hour of empty, well sighted, curvaceous, Cornish back roads later, we parked up in the Gorgeous Sea side town of Looe and set off along the coast path.

Some truly stunning views on a glorious day.

Plus the wild life was looking cool. 8)

After a couple of hours we arrived in the tranquil fishing village of Polperro and grabbed some fish and chips to eat while we just watched the world pass very slowly by.

By pure coincidence we then discovered that the same boat was taking passengers back to Looe. We had thought we would get the bus back, but £8.00 later we boarded and pulled away from the harbour wall to travel back in style. Along with the skippers wee pooch.

Think the Zed enjoyed the day resting in the sun too. Certainly looked magnificent as we ambled up to it weary legged, several hours after starting out.

Another great Mini Adventure complete. Hope you like the pics. :D

Looks great, I'm seriously tempted to retire over your way-mrs smartbear likes Suffolk though so I think I've got some persuading to do :D

Looks like a great day out - though, from the thread title, I did wonder if it was going to be a NSFW thread...

Do it.

I've done a fair bit of travelling over the years seen all the continents etc. Jumped at the opportunity of a job down here, when I was fortunate enough to get an invite from my previous boss in Crawley, who had also jumped ship. Had a job persuading MrsG to move from Hampshire, where she had put down routes after we had both moved from Liverpool. We have now been here 20 years and absolutely no plans to look any where else when we retire. It's a fantastic place to live, work and play. :D

No amount of money can buy experiences like this, spontaneity and an adventurous mind is the key, a truly spectacular day that you will remember for a very long time.......

I am most envious, cracking pictures, beautiful scenery and with that someone special

Cornwall on a sunny spring day cannot be beaten. Looks like a great day out.

We have been on holidays to Cornwall many times and every time has been great. Polperro is lovely.

As soon as young dog is sufficiently trained, to be trusted to come back when off lead on a beach -
hopefully by October - we'll be back to Cornwall.
