im currently on 37.1MPG!! this was all motorway but surely it cant be that good??

2003 3.0i SE with 78K on the clock!

Nah you will get this easy on a run , in real terms the trip computer is 1/2 mpgs out but quite possible , I can even get 32 mpgs on the motorway out of the M  , and used to get 36 mpgs out of the Si I had

My OBC usually reads 2-3mpg higher than a calculated "brim to brim" fill up at the pumps.

I suspect you're nearer 35mpg. Still good for a 3.0i straight six

I got the exact same mpg 37.1 on recent trip from Bath to Durham total mileage was 294 and average speed read 48.3,should have done a manual check to see what the real figure was, 34-35 would be a truer figure.

Are people regularly resetting the mpg trip? Ie before a long journey. Mines showing 30 but I haven't reset it for 6 months so that's 30 over 9,000 miles. Give or take. Still not bad for the 3.0l.

i agree with paza3 i can get 30 plus on the motorway steady driving round town 22 to 24 on the track hammered 15 if i am lucky.but if you have a m sod the costs of petrol you just got to do it :driving: what an evil car these zeds are :driving: :D

Last week I did 491 miles on 60 litres giving 37.1 mpg actual, lifetime average is an indicated 37.6 mpg. If you do long regular runs then the computer gets pretty accurate.

My 3.0i recently showed 37.4 for a near 200 mile trip, almost all motorway & dual carriageway. Good clear run with an average speed of 56.2mph. Brimmed it before and after and reckon that the actual mpg was around the 35 mark. As everyone says, pretty damn good for a 3.0 engine.

That said, that was just the once... it's usually a bit less than that. Can't imagine why! :driving:

I have been experimenting and have just done 442 miles on a tank after travelling newcastle chesterfield and then sellafield after brimming the tank and then getting down to 4 miles on range before i decided not to risk it any more to fill her up.

It was a mix of main ly motorwqay but also a66 and a595.

This in my 3.0 so coupe.
Its a great car, will be even better once i get the seat adjustment sorted, lots of tweaking to be done

Took the Z out on Sunday for a local hoon. 217miles £75 for super. I suspect thats not that good in MPG terms but had a blast :driving:

Roof down of course. 8)

Yes i believe it!! - I'm getting that from my 2.5i on motorway trips- and sometimes a littl more-I didnt believe it either at first! (I use higher octane unleaded and I have a 'light' right foot!)

not sure that the car computer is 100% accurate. but i would not be suprised with these figures on a steady motorway drive. i have seen 39 in my automatic
