MPG Comparison

I managed 386 miles today and the computer stated there was still a further 75 miles left in the tank when I parked up.. I think 500 is definitely feasible though!

Im doing a road trip to brugge in november but i cant promisenit will be an eco run. Il aim for 500 miles though.

My very short drive to work and back is averaging under 20mpg. Not the best figures really.

Its a nteresting post OP , shows that the Zs can be capable of performance & frugality
As my Z is a weekender i very rarely consider what the MPG is unless i get a motorway run where its steady away then i play mind games watching the figures rise & fall more to pass the journey .
When you reach the point where you feel you have max'd your car's capacity & you know its numbers inside out try changing the oil for Millers CFS / Nano & see if you squeeze any more from it

Went to Weston-super-mere the other weekend following #1 son in his people carrier. Cruise, cruise, zzzzzzz - managed over 40mpg, but G0d it was So boring! :(

Just :driving: - within the National Speed Limits of course

Depends on traffic levels I guess as I was having to overtake and be overtaken a lot on the M40, M42 & M6 at 70.. but yes I do wish I had cruise!

Did well on a 213 mile drive today

Well... there's 3 numbers that my car will never see.

Correction: 4. I imagine it has probably been 8.5 degrees before.

Still can't believe quite how good the economy is for the non-M 6cyl, given the performance and the fact that it's a N/A ten year old design now. Nearly averaged 32mpg over 3 years in mine, despite it being a weekender, and close to 40mpg on long trips.

The M is proving to be substantially more thirsty. It's definitely worth the cost, but having more than 100 miles chopped of the range does mean a little more planning to avoid getting caught out!

Never get more than 26mpg and don't want to.

When im sat on a motorway for 4 hours i dont fancy sitting in 3rd at 70 so might as well see how high i can get the mpg. Daily driving its lower lol.

If I'm going that distance I get the train, have a beer and browse the Z4 Forum on me iPad. :D
