To answer various points and add a comment.
Front plate mount is held on with 4 rivets.

My front plate mount was held on by 5 self tappers.....

I guess that's Alpina. Afaik all Zed use 4 pop rivet type fixings. Of course post any respray who can say what will be used.

I'd be reluctant to place it so it blocks air flow through the lower grille. I agree that, if you have to have one, where it's intended is the only place that looks OK. At least Euro plates actually fit on the bumper, US plates hang down below, looking horribly tacked on. OTOH, US plates are slightly less area, so at least they aren't wrapping halfway around the car. I'm jealous of states like Arizona that do not require front plates!

So, yesterday my lilts one decided to swipe off my number plate anyways! Was only stuck on each side to the bumper.
So after taking off the excethe stickiness from the bumper and a good ol tcut to get it looking new agin... I really like its with no plate!!!
I have chanced it today driving my 50mile round trip to work and nothing so far! Will keep the plate in the passenger foot well so if every am stopped "it fell off this morning officer"!!

Mines been on my dash for maybe 2 months now ever since i got my M front fitted... passed well over a dozen police cars, i've had no problems.

Can you pop up a pic of where on the dash you have put it?

So I decided to run without it on the front for the last week with no problem so far. No issue filling up at petrol station the other day and been past many Police cars with nothing.
I'm keeping the plate in the Boot so if ever I am pulled its there!

Quick picky...

I know I'm playing roulette with it not being there, but will play the game for a while :driving:

Was tempted to run without a plate but I like avoiding trouble. I was getting used to the clean look without it.... but it has to be there!

Last picture before plate was attached again!

I'd love to see a pic of your car from further back and with proper lighting. To get a proper view of an M bumpered car with no plate.
