Nice looking car! Those wheels (with the bolts around the circumference) aren't my usual cup of tea, but seem to really fit this vehicle. Very aggressive looking.

My plan was to change these for 325m wheels as didn't like them at first but they have grown on me , they cost a lot more than most wheels as an optional extra when new ,I will get them refurbed as some point in the near future

Honestly, I think thats a solid plan. They make the car a bit more unique, and I think the added aggressiveness of the wheels is a nice counterpoint to the small stature of the car, etc. Makes it feel a bit more visually balanced to my eye.

Yup did this with mine too if you remember - definitely took some jerkyness out of the gear changes and hasn't returned since. It's one of the non-coding options in Carly along with e.g. battery registration etc.

Yep I remember now you mentioned something about this before.

How did you do that? through the coding section? and what difference did this make to the gearbox?
It is under customisation which is listed where coding is listed ,the gearbox before hand felt like it hung in the gears to long and had to work it to make it move after resetting a lot smoother and moved through gears quicker
It basically adapts to your driving style rather than last owners

I definitely need to do this, since mine definitely holds the gears too long in sport mode. I don't have Carly, I wonder if Carista will be able to do this. I have dropped Carista a message asking them but failing this I assume a BMW specialist or BMW themselves should be able to reset this with their computers?

I was just googling about this topic and I came across a thread on a 3 series forum saying that you can achieve the same thing by switching on the Ignition (but engine off) and pressing down the accelerator all the way down for 30 to 60 seconds let go and start the car. I did that and wow what a difference, in normal mode the shifts are super smooth (not that they were bad to begin with) and in sport mode so much smoother and does not hold the gear way too long like it used to. Some say this method is not permanent and only temporary but I guess I will find out.

Surely if it has been reset it will not go back to normal ? Time will tell
It should now adapt to your driving style

If it does go back there should be someone near you with Carly who could reset the gearbox , only takes a couple of minutes

I am on the Costa Del Sol, I don't know anyone here with Carly and I doubt there are many forum members around here. I would go with your logic in that if it has been reset how can it go back but that is exactly what some have been saying that it does go back. Only time will tell. Hopefully it doesn't, if it does I can always use the accelerator pedal trick again if I can't find someone to program it. Fingers crossed!
