Moved into the e89 gang

Glad you have the new one now Mr Bear - it must have felt like a long week!

Looking forward to your impressions compared to your previous one.

Enjoy. :driving:

I liked my E85 3.0l and I still like them - but I like my E89's more! (one3.0l and now the 35is)

Don't think the 30i has a sound generator. The E89 is a relatively heavy car (around 1500kg), I haven't driven an E85, but they do look like a lighter, smaller car.
Anyway, great looking car, hope you enjoy it.
Cheers, Dave

Glad it's now at home with you Rob.

Did you also pick up your new pipe and slippers ? :poke:

I'll have to come and see it

Stuart

Very very interested in your views on the switch to e89 - prices are getting tempting but I suppose until you drive one you don't really know if it's your cup of tea!

Keep us updated

Car looks great Rob,

Looking forward to seeing the daylight pictures soon :)

How you finding it compared to the E85?

Ash

Hi Ash, early days yet but I'm very pleased so far-I really liked the 3litre n52 engine in my e85 so made sure my e89 had the same engine-it's the best power-plant I've experienced :driving:

Nice to hear that Rob,

I don't think many of E89 3.0 N52 engines are around so you have done well to find a good example. It's a great engine too and pretty bullet proof.

Are you sticking with the 18inch wheels?

Ash

Thanks Ash, the 19's look better but I'm conscious of reducing the ride quality :?
Il probably err on the side of caution & stick with my 18's (unless a bargain set of 19's turn up & I can sneak them past mrs Smartbear)

When we next meet for a drive Rob we'll swap cars for a bit as you know I dying to test out a 3.0 I'm sure you'll find my 19's on non R/Fs are no harsher than your 18's on R/Fs.
Just tell SWMBO that 19" wheels are compulsory in France

I sold my E89 3.0l m sport in September and it had 326 with runflats - i didn't have any complaints.
Happy enough to have the same rubber on the 35is.

The adaptive suspension helps the ride also IMHO

Without a doubt - but it was ok on the previous car without.
