Some of you will know I am having a real problem getting BMW to honour their corrosion warranty :headbang:  I would like to contact the motoring press to highlight this problem but as I don't read much of the motoring press or visit the websites other than this one, I have no idea where to start. Any tips or advice would be appreciated

Try posting on the official BMW facebook and twitter accounts
I've done their Twitter account and are talking via DM now. I want to put as much pressure as I can on them

Auto Express have a page each week ,they usually get some success with a claim when the owner has been fobbed off.You have nothing to lose by giving them a call.

What's the total value? If you win the costs are added on, up to £1k is only £60 to issue.

Having had a dispute with Tastecard that was going round in circles after 5 letters I issued a claim, the day it arrived they called to settle.

I've a friend who works for trading standards who's going to take a look for me plus was advised by a friend to file in the small claims court which is cheap.

The repair bill is £3100 for a new roof and I believe small claims limit is 5k

You'd not be claiming for that amount but to enforce the warranty I would think. Small claims is the same court just a different track, cheaper because no lawyers!

I think you have a case but for what could be quite a bill you'll need some impartial advice. Most likely BMW will settle if you play hard ball.
