While scanning the car for faults with INPA, I keep getting the following fault in the air conditioning module:
Error memory
"motor frischluft/umluftklappe" which translates as "motor fresh air / recirculation flap"
and
"Kurzschluss gegen Masse sporadischer Fehler" which is "Short circuit to ground sporadic fault"
I have looked at the flap above the passenger footwell and can see that it seems to move freely when I cycle the air recirculation switch.
I have also noticed there must be another electric flap behind the centre vents, since when I switch the air conditioning on and off, I can hear this move too.
Does anyone know if there is another flap somewhere which is associated with the "motor fresh air / recirculation flap" perhaps that could be stuck and that I am not hearing move?
I know this is a minor problem and that if I hadn't looked, I wouldn't know, but it is bugging me now
