I don't know why I was so concerned, but I really felt that this MOT was going to be expensive.
I bought the car in April 2014 with 84,000 miles on the clock. I had 4 reasons for buying it: it was black; it was shiny; it went rather quickly and the dealer gave me a great offer on my X Type Estate. I got no old invoices with it, but it did have a service book with stamps that added up.
In the time I have owned it I have done 10,000 miles, use it every day whatever the weather and so far it has cost me 2 front tyres (Goodyear F1 Assymetrics ) fitted today, an oil service (<£200) and 2 MOTs, plus half of the liquid output from the North Sea!
Anyway, as you may have gathered from the upbeat tone of this post, it passed its MOT today!!! Only advisories were rear tyres "close to legal limit", but they look quite meaty to me.
I may have been mad to buy it, I may have been lucky so far, but I'm very happy!
