Nice one Dave. My new to me 2.2 is a bit off getting through an MOT just yet. I’m looking forward to seeing what the 2.2 is like on the road

Liken it to driving an old mini. Not the fastest but with decent suspension and the closer ratio 5-speed box, what you lose on the straights you'll gain in the twisty bits, which is infinitely more fun.
My daily 2.2 came to me with tatty bodywork but only 53k on it. Two years later it now has 65k under it's belt, nearly all on Norfolk back roads. In that time I've bought, done up and passed on 3.0 and 2.5 versions and never considered keeping one of them. For my circumstances, this little car is ideal.

The 2.2 does have the 6 cylinders so that a big plus. When I was looking a number of years ago I discounted the 3 litre as they all seem to have done a zillion miles and settled for the middle ranking pre facelift 2.5 with much lower miles
I then discovered that this model had more bhp than the facelift model albeit that one had 6 gears.

The pre-facelift 2.5i had more power than the facelift, but the facelift 2.5si had more still! I think the facelift 2.5i was intended as a replacement for the 2.2i.

Anyway congratulations on the MOT Dave.
