MOT

Hi,

Quick question - do I need to get an MOT for my 06 plate Z4 if it was first registered on the 05/08/2006? I've leased it since 25/11/2007 from a BMW dealer, and I need to get it road taxed tomorrow!

Sorry, I should be clearer - is there anything I should watch out for since its my first MoT? I only had it serviced by BMW three months ago so fingers crossed it will pass and then I can get my road tax tomorrow (when it runs out!!!)
 
If it's still under warranty of some sort get them to find everything and list as an advisory. If it's down to you to pay and service just put it in as normal.

Personally I just check the obvious like lights working wipers not damaged screen wash full, etc. Still end up failing on things I'd never know like a broken spring.
 
Just take it in and see...

It's due an MOT and so I wouldn't be wasting time getting jobs done etc. Get the MOT asap!

if you have an MOT booked you are OK to drive it to the testing station, you will not be breaking the law, it's just the last three months :poke:

lucky ANPR didnt pick you up.
 
Actually maybe ANPR didn't pick me up because it was the first time that car had to have an MOT, but now it is in the system and has a record of the expiry date, I'm sure it will.....

nowt wrong with driving without tax or MOT if you're on the way to or from the MOT station... totally legit :)
