Like anything I guess, you can reduce the cost by buying cheaper parts. A single half decent control arm will set you back around £100. The lollipop bushes £50ish each I think. Considering the impact suspension has on drivability and if yours has the M sport suspension I would personally avoid the cheaper end of the market.

Cheaper than that, got a set of Meyle HD control arms, lollipop bushes (pre-fit to the new wishbones too, to save a job) and drop links in a set from eBay for £205.

Seems Meyle and Lemforder are the two brands recommended for this sort of thing, too?

Even got two Meyle hats thrown in the box too

Have you got a link? That would be really useful for when I have to do mine eventually!

I charge far less than 250 for this job! Quite straightforward tbh.
Strip and clean rear brakes, including handbrake shoes. Should sort that squeak out.
Don't pay stupid money for these jobs.

Andy.

I see you're in Chesterfield Andy (which is around an hour away from me). When you say you charge far less than £250 for the job, do you mean the bushes or the brakes? I might be interested in bringing it over some time.

Hi
Sorry for late reply. Been working on troublesome american muscle cars!

Anyway, labour for lollipop bushes £50 for both..
labour for a complete front lower arm, £50. £100 for both.
Strip and clean rear brakes, £50.

You would be very welcome anytime.
Andy.

Thanks muchly! I'll be in touch when I've got the bits. :D

It was £80 + VAT to get my wishbones replaced, with me supplying a pre-bushed Meyle wishbone set + droplinks, and that wasn't at a particularly cheap place. Sounds like a good deal from Andy.

Is the brake squeak actually a squeak or is it a "creak"? Creak under compression usually means the handbrake needs re-greasing. Just checking!

Good looking car, BTW. Grey is the new black, I hear. :D

Andy did my front bushes too - you will be happy with the result and at a good price!

It is defo a squeak...although it seems to have stopped since its been warm?? Going to get the MTech drilled discs and Red Stuff pads at some point soon anyways. Will get them to check the handbrake at the same time.
