MOT passed with no advisories although the guy did point out that my drive belt was pretty badly worn and needed replacing and that my tyres where pretty dire to say the least. New belt purchased from Euro parts £17 and replaced..5 min job, dead easy. Contemplating ordering some Uniroyal RS3s to replace the RFTs :)

Ah that may well be the belt that my indy said needs changing on mine.

He said alternator belt, but reading the description it talks about it connecting the alternator to other ancillarys.

Its a simple job, all you need is a wrench and a 16mm socket. I just drew a diagramme of how the belt went around the wheels before I removed the belt, You place the wrench on the small wheel in the middle annd push upwards which releases the tension on the belt so that it can be pulled off,

Ben. this is the wheel that has the tension on, when you pull on the wrench it should slide to the left. When you release the pressure it will spring back to its original position. Quite straight forward really. Regards, Andy
