MOT today

Phew, a good result for you Andy, now you will be able to enjoy Christmas without worrying :)

Oh, not so sure about that. One tyre, you see, if it was two tyres it would be normal wear, but one tyre.... Could there be something wrong with the brake that it wears that tyre out more? Perhaps a sticking handbrake? Could the tyre be mounted wrong so that it wears more? Is that shockbreaker not right on that side? Perhaps touching that wheel against the kerb has misaligned the wheel. oooohhhhh

Not sure about your weather up there, but it is not "fun" weather here at all.

Tbh its my own fault -I bought two tyres from Mafoo on here, only to find out that one of them had a star after the reo number -I later found out that its not a good idea to mix them?-so I only had the one fitted-and with the house move etc its been a blurry year

Good lad Andy, glad she passed. So the pesky light is just a glitch then I reckon

Now it's just the tyre to worry about :poke: ;)

Passed today as well, the first one that I've had with this car, luckily I'd had a Insp II at the dealership a few days ago & they''d advised me of a broken coil spring which I got sorted with some Suplex springs during the week.

How come an MOT is as nerve wracking as waiting for your first born :?

Isnt the star just acknowledgement that it passes BMW standard,s regarding the size tolerance ?
If you have 2 tyres on same axle the same size IE/ 225 45 17 & both are summer/winter/runflat/non runflat i can,t see the issue there mate ?
The TT i bought came with the correct sized tyres but each corner was a different tread pattern/depth & manufacturer
Not any more though :)

Sorry forgot to mention it has a roman 2 at the end also which apparently has been designed exclusively for BMW 3 series verts-so I didn't want to mix them on the same axle.

That's what I think as I asked the tester about my emissions-he said its spot on!

Mine sailed through on Thursday. Thought BMW would have invented some advisories but I was gladly surprised.
