Had my E89 serviced a couple of weeks back and the dealers have programmed an MOT reminder into the car for me for Jan 2013 - kinda neat!
 
Now that is a neat idea :)

I'm going to set up an alert on my mobile but I guess i'll have upgraded it by the time my next MOT is due :lol:

You can set up a reminder with the DVLA by text for £1.50 or something. If you don't hange your number you'll be fine :thumbsup:

Regarding mine... I just drove back from Bluewater in the dark and couldn't work out why I couldn't see anything - then realised they have wound the headlight height back down :roll: Need to fix that tomorrow (properly this time srhutch :wink: )
 
Mine passed today also with flying colours!

Had 2 rear springs gone recently and thanks to the power of the forum and it's amazing 'how to' section, managed to get this done myself for a fraction of the cost prior to today's MOT! Well worth a forum donation me thinks....
 
Next time your road tax is due get your car MOT'd a few days afterwards to align the timing. Then you will never forget again and as long as it's a few days afterwards it won't affect any online tax application as the previous one will always be valid on the first day of the new tax disc.

The government should really merge them into one transaction anyway.
 
They remind you about road tax yet they don't remind you about MOT - hmmmm....

MOT'd due on my (new to me) e90 next week. Don't anticipate any problems but you never know.
 
I've noticed all the passes without advisories....... thats a testament to how well our cars are maintained but also how BMW got the basic design right
It seems its the peripherals that cause problems ( roof motors etc) but the basic mechanical package is sound :worshipbmw:
