Always a nerve wracking time - waiting to be told how much new suspension will cost you to pass this year!

God, I hope not! I'm changing out all of the bushes, plus new drop links.... and the shocks and springs have all been changed recently....

Just checked mine - due on 09/09/12. Best get that sorted pronto then...

Mine had to have brake pads done for MOT, but other than that, all ok. Always worry of a big bill, but was ok for me this time round

Does anyody else usually completely forget when the MOT is due and either a) think about it like Bing has and realise you're hours away, or b) forget so badly that it isnt for a month or so after its expired that you start phoning around for an urgent appointment.

I did b) the year before last with my wife's car, and fate punished us wIth the need for 4 new tyres (needed prior to even getting to the MOT), a rear anti-roll bar and new front discs and pads. Something else too that I forget now... Oh, and a new water pump two weeks later. £1,700 later we went to Scotland for Christmas, which was slightly less full of presents than usual

My wife's is diaried now, didn't diary mine as it was done before I bought it. You'd have thought I'd learned  :headbang:

It's actually the horrible feeling of realising you've not been insured for a coupe of months that is the worst. I deserved the financial raping I received :D

Only once. Discovered the MOT expired that day! Hurriedly booked car in...

Mine is being done now... Bit nervous about my inner arch rubbing, but the garage that did the springs is doing the MOT so hopefully it will be ok. Fingers crossed. Touch wood

Mines booked in tomorrow as it's due end of the month, worst hour of my life..... despite being confident.

Good luck

I went out for a fag during mine and could see into the workshop - up on the ramps, with an older gentleman going slowly around shining a torch in all the nooks and crannies, gently spinning the wheels. I had to go somewhere I couldn't see in :D
