Taking my at for its MOT, technically not due to till the 4th of January, but work is crazy busy so getting it in while I can,

It's strange I'm normally worried about my cars before the test but I have total confidence in the zed passing,

I will update but we all know it's a done deal.........

I'm getting mine MOT'd on Saturday 15th Dec, a day after the inspection II will have been done by BMW franchise, other than the rear coil springs what are other common MOT failures on Z's?

Popey, this is my first MOT since having the car so I'm not feeling quite as confident as you were :?

If it failed an MOT the day after an I2, I'd be having severe words with the BMW service department - as a matter of interest, why don't you just let BMW take care of the MOT while they have it in for the service as it'll be less running about for you? If they're not an MOT test station themselves, they'll have an arrangement with one nearby.

I'm worried that they'll find things that 'need' to be done in order for it to pass, TBH I'm only going with main BMW franchise for the dealer stamp - when the car is 10 years old I'll go the indy route, the discs & pads are getting close to the end of their useful life, but as this car is intended to be a low miler/weekender car it wont hurt to wait a couple more months - the pad wear sensor hasn't fired yet, not that I'll let it get that close though.

For the pads I'm expecting an advisory..

This was my first one as the owner :)

Good luck, I'm sure it will fly through!

Made up, shame I'm so busy at the moment.

But I did give it a blast down the tunnel under the west stand at blackpool football club, despite been open on one side it sounded epic.

Pass with no advisories? Trust me,wasn't issued correctly. You have under bonnet covers that should be advised, and under trays that should be advised. Ridiculous but true.

Mine passed with no advisories the other week. Great feeling :) especially when another z4 in there had a few :D smug

Yep,if a testable item is covered by a cover then you advise a cover is fitted. The (from memory) only cover you are allowed to remove during an mot test in towbar wiring cover, such as Ranger Rovers
