Ok so it's that time again ! I dread to think what the bill is going to be for this little lot !

1. New Front Bushes
2. Passenger Seat Sensor (airbag warning light)
3. Oil Service
4. Replacement Rear Spring (broken picked up on mot)
5. MOT

Might be time to sell the kids !

Badger - for no 2 at least, buy a C110 scanner/warning light reset tool. Cost less than £40 on ebay/amazon. Reset your light on MOT day and then you can spread the cost of fixing the issue. Highly unlikely that the light will be triggered during the MOT test - I had this problem and mine passed

My seat sensor is gone as well i just get the light turned off and dont put anything or sit in the seat until after the mot

Save yourself a fortune and replace the rear springs and front bushes yourself

Sadly I have ino idea with any of the oily bits !

Will get the airbag light turned off and see how I go !

Still looking at £600 - £700 surely ?

Oh how I love my zed !

The fix for the seat occupancy costs a tenner as well

might still need the C110 or one of these to reset the airbag light http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Memo-Scanner-B800-SRS-Airbag-Reset-Tool-Diagnostic-Scanner-Code-Reader-for-BMW-/131264192890?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e8ff4a17a

i wouldn't have thought that was a big repair/service over all tbh
rear spring £40'ish
Bushes £50
Oil -£30
couple hours labour
I'd have thought closer to half at least of your bottom estimate unless i'm missing something?

obviously if you're going to a main dealer you're going to get chinned for parts and the labour regardless.

Brillian thanks for your thoughts ..... I'm going to my local Indy who have loved the car as I have since day 1 they have always been "understanding and completely fair"
Having had a few hours to digest the shock it's just a simple "pay the bill situation" let's be honest it's not life threatening !
AND ONE SUNNY DAY WITH THE ROOF DOWN ! and all this heartache will disappear bring on the summer !

None of that sounds particularly expensive, just routine maintenance (apart from the sensor). Console yourself with how much less this will cost than the monthly depreciation on a new car. :D

(oil was an estimate btw i paid £30 for castrol 0w40 4lt recently so maybe a bit more but not the £120 from the other thread!)

The car will pass an MOT if you put black tape over the airbag light. I had to do this to get mine through.

I was under the impression the light has to be seen coming on and then going out to pass

Not sure. Mine went through fine anyway. It was only a small piece of tape so all the other lights came on fine.
