9 years old and passed with no problems.
Only advisory on front ball joints but Munich Legends said hardly any play, not enough to warrant an advisory note!
I'm happy and my wallet has stopped shaking. These beemers are great cars! :driving:

Nice one, it's always a nice feeling when you get a clean sheet

My usual tester insists on an advisory about the engine undertrays being fitted which really winds me up! ........ but not enough to fall out with him as he's passed it six years in a row and it is nearly 13 yrs old so I just grin and bear it

I'm always nervous as I think it's going to cost a fortune, thankfully not this time. Good for another year. Now just need to pray for some sun!

This seems to be common practise, feck knows what it's all about.....does the tester HAVE to make a comment to appease DVLA?

It's basically saying we couldn't test everything as parts were obscured. The tester cannot remove anything. Best to cover the whole car in undertrays and it'll pass every time!

Mine's due Apr 1st!!! - 2005 3.0SE with 37k on the clock, it had 35.2k on it last April so hardly any wear n tear hopefully.

It's been sat in my garage the last 3mths so hopefully, when I take it early March , it'll fly through, fingers crossed!!

Just put my old 320d through its done nearly 250000 miles passed without any advisories, I guess you get what you pay for, how many Ford's out there would pass with that mileage and not cost a fortune !

That's seriously impressive! and probably says something about it being properly maintained as well.

Yes, it's always a relief when it passes even if you know it should!

My 9 year old Coupe passed last week with no advisories - just as well as my wallet is still in pain after the new water pump the week before! :-o

I don't know what all this under-trays b*****ks is about - take them off and look FFS or just shut the F**K up!

It makes them harder to sell as some people get put off by them.

Last year I sold an old Mazda 323f. 5 years back some bright spark decided it needed 2 advisories for the number plates starting to delminate although they still legible, then every year after that it still got both advisories even though they were still clearly legible!

Anyway, rant over!

Enjoy the year OP!

My old ford kept on getting advisories for buckled rims. Some years it was mentioned and some it wasn't. Goes to show what variety of mot inspections there are.
