MOT Pass

Zed had the MOT today and a sort of bitter/sweet event.

Went in for a service 2 weeks ago and the service guy always doe the MOT. Said a couple of minor observation like tyres low and some light rust on the brake pipes. Def not even an advisory on anything. Fitted 4 new tyres as were getting close.

In it goes today and the 'new' young lad MOT's it, passes it and fills my form with advisories. I've got them for everything from brake pipes with slight corroding to deteriorating seal on the filler cap to cracked fanbelt.

Doh - so now I have lots of bits to sort as I'm a perfectionist and want everything right..

nearly 12 years old now? not bad! just shows if you take care of these cars they will keep on going #m54

Without doubt - over 11 year old car and no complaints that it passed and always has every year. They even commented the suspension was perfect (It would be as I replaced the lot 2 years ago :) )

Just the variation between 2 guys in the same station that bugs me.

Front pads wearing thin was an advisory, but 2 weeks ago on a service they were 30% worn

I'll take a look a the pipes and see if are corroded or just surface marks and decide what to do.

Rest is just sourcing stuff and 10 minute jobs to fit

'New' young lad could be covering his own back and wanting to make a good impression with his boss, so has listed every small issue?
