MOT Failure

1) I'm an idiot and mixed up the drivers side and offside.

Point still stands, the light sensor is on the drivers side. They looked on the passenger side, and couldnt find it, assumed it had been removed and issued an mot.

:scratchhead:

Assuming you're in UK, driver's side IS offside. Passenger side is nearside.

Are you saying that one headlight failed and when you took it back they checked the wrong headlight and passed it?

If so, great... but you've still got a broken headlight

Any update on this?

The garage certainly looks like it could help with the following. They'll know what to do...

Inside offside and nearside outside roof motor relocation next to the Flux Capacitor is a must. We've all done it. Make sure they use a long stand to lift the roof and it can be held up with a skyhook while moving the motor.

Also make sure to ask the garage if there are enough beeps left in the alarm as they need to be refilled with these cars getting older. Cheap from eBay.

The sad thing is this makes more sense than the original post

The offside rule is always a source of confusion, if that garage scores a goal I’d demand a video replay :P

Best mod I've ever done is the Flux Capacitor! Big thank you to skelters for sourcing it from a lovely chap called Marty, second hand but in mint condition all the way from Hill Valley, in California. Apparently, his car was hit by a train (very sad but thank goodness no-one was hurt!) and he's only just got round to breaking the car and offloading the good pieces to new homes.
