As a matter of interest what spray coating do you use?

Its the one that stagecoach buses use to coat all their vehicles. Ill try and find a link to it. Used it that often I cant remember what its called!!
Will pop down to my workshop later and find out.
Good stuff but smelly!

Andy.

Cheers

Thanks benneyboy1

Did Doms z4 brake pipes earlier.
Joined them at the front firewall and replaced both pipes from there back to the flexy's. Utilised the original clips including over the back axle.
Then sprayed them with rust protector.

Also used snap on verus to scan his ABS since he had twin fault lights on. Came up as pressure sensor 1. Looking at live data, at rest, pressure sensor 1 was at 214 ps and pressure sensor 2 at -12 psi. ooops!

Also fitted a new rear coilspring that Dom supplied at the rear. £260 all complete. Dom keeping us entertained! Sorry if we weren't always listening fully Dom!! Got to concentrate sometimes...lol!

Interestingly, the pipe corrosion that they had failed near the firewall was just very minor surface stuff. My colleague is an MOT inspector and said it was a strange decision to include that in the fails. Advisories maybe.

Cleared the codes, sent him away with a shopping list, and a new mot on the horizon.

If any of you are nearby to chesterfield, my colleagues workplace is an MOT testing station where he is workshop manager. MOT's £30 trade price to anyone on here as long as I know its being booked in. Drop me a line anytime for the contact numbers. very friendly garage owners and mechanics. MOT's very fair.

In fact, Auriga cars, Coal Aston, Dronfield....

Great morning with Andy. I was surprised how straight forward it was. Cheers dude.

Car felt fine on the way back. Just a mental list of the little bits that need to be sorted and the hope of nothing else going wrong

Thanks Andy. I've just ordered some and will give it a try, looks like it will be ideal for my Forester as well

Mine 'failed' last year with 'excessive' corrosion on the left to right rear brake pipe. Took it to a garage for replacement and was greeted when I picked it up with great news that it was surface corrosion and the guy with the smallest hands had used some fine wet and greased it. Cost-£30 and a free retest within fourteen days. Shop around is my advice! :)
