Maybe I've egged it up here, it was just the seal on the fuel cap which beached her
However I was a little surprised, firstly that they'd noticed very early signs of rubber perishing on the underside of the cap and secondly that it had even got this way on a 5-6 year old low mileage car!
Has anyone else checked their caps recently or had such a problem? Of course an easy fix, £18 from the local dealer who were genuinely top notch by the way.
